Visit Mt. Fuji, Japan's highest peak and most famous symbol. Spend the evening in the historical mountain resort area of Hakone before traveling to Takayama, known as “Little Kyoto.” See its preserved historical structures and environment. Mingle with the locals at the thatched roofed village of Shirakawa-go, a World Heritage site. Experience the making of washi, Japanese paper, at Gokayama. Visit Kanazawa, home of Kenroku Garden, one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan, and admire the ceramics at Kutaniyaki.

Day 1. Tokyo - Mt. Fuji - Hakone
Take a deluxe motorcoach to the foot of Mt. Fuji via expressway, then drive halfway up Japan's highest mountain to enjoy a spectacular view from a height of 2300 meters. After lunch, proceed to Togendai for Hakone Ropeway and a cruise on Lake Ashi on a pirate boat.

Day 2. Hakone - Takayama
Drive to Odawara Station and board a shinkansen for Nagoya. Transfer to a limited express for Takayama, an ancient, tranquil city also known as "Little Kyoto." Stroll through its streets, visiting Yatai Kaikan Hall, where colorfully decorated traditional festival floats are displayed, Kusakabe Folkcraft Museum, formerly the residence of powerful merchants under government patronage, and the Kami Sannomachi, where there are preserved traditional Japanese wooden houses.

Day 3. Takayama - Shirakawago - Kanazawa
Visit the famous morning market of Takayama. Go for a scenic drive by Lake Miboro and along Shokawa River to Shirakawago, designated in 1995 as a World Heritage site. Its highlights are unique structures called Gassho-Zukuri, or joined-hands farmhouses. Proceed to Kanazawa after going around Takayama.

Day 4. Kanazawa - Kyoto
Go sightseeing in Kanazawa in the morning and see Kenrokuen Garden, Kutaniyaki Pottery Kiln, and the former guest house Shima. In the afternoon, depart for Kyoto. You will be dropped off at a hotel in Kyoto.

- Mt. Komagatake Aerial Cableway may be skipped due to traffic conditions without alternative.
- When the driveway up to Mt.Fuji's 5th station is closed in winter due to heavy snow, you will go up to only the highest possible point that is allowed at the moment.
- Komagatake Ropeway or Cruise on Lake Ashi may be omitted or substituted depending on traffic, weather conditions, or other operational reasons. In this case, you will enjoy one in case of either of them omitted or two for both of them omitted out of following alternatives: Narukawa Museum in Hakone, Hakone Check Point, Cruise on Lake Kawaguchi, Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone shrine, Owaku-dani and Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway. Your tour guide will finalize alternative places, based on careful study of tour movement and other conditions.
- Your baggage will be transported by land from Hakone to Kyoto with allowance of one piece per person on 2nd day. For the overnight stay in Takayama and Kanazawa, we recommend you to carry a light overnight bag with you.
