Enjoy a breathtaking view from Mt. Fuji and visit the historical mountain resort area of Hakone. Explore Kyoto's 1,200 years of history with a visit to the Tokugawa era shoguns' residence, Nijo Castle, and the gold-leaf covered Golden Pavilion with its exquisite surrounding garden.

Visit Kyoto Imperial Palace and watch Japanese artisans work their craft at the Kyoto Handicraft Center. Walk through Sanjusangendo Temple, Japan's longest wooden structure, and browse the specialty shops on the walk up to Kiyomizudera Temple - where you can also enjoy a sweeping view of the city. Admire Heian Jingu Shrine, a partial replica of the Imperial Palace.

DAY 1. Tokyo - Mt. Fuji - Hakone - Kyoto
Take a deluxe motorcoach to the foot of Mt. Fuji via the expressway, and drive halfway up Japan's highest mountain to enjoy a spectacular view from a height of 2,300 meters. Enjoy a Japanese-style lunch. In the afternoon, visit Hakone for the Hakone Ropeway, Owakudani Valley and a cruise on Lake Ashi on a pirate boat. Board a shinkansen to the classical city of Kyoto.

DAY 2. Kyoto
Go sightseeing around Kyoto in the morning, visit Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), Nijo Castle - noted for its gorgeous interiors, and the Kyoto Imperial Palace. Have lunch at Kyoto Handicraft Center before proceeding to Sanjusangendo Temple and its 1001 impressive images of Buddha, the vermilion-hued Heian Jingu Shrine and the Kiyomizudera Temple with its wooden veranda.

Drop-off service to hotels in Kyoto between 17:30 and 18:30.

- This tour will skip Fuji Visitor Center on days when it's closed, or when the tour is behind schedule due to heavy traffic.
- When the driveway up to Mt Fuji's 5th station is closed (in winter and some days in early spring because of heavy snowfall) or if the tour is behind schedule due to traffic, you will only get to go up the highest possible point available at the moment. Tour will not be refunded or canceled.
- Although Hakone Ropeway or the Pirate Boat may be omitted or substituted depending on traffic, weather conditions, or for other operational reasons, the tour will not be canceled or refunded. You will be offered alternatives instead: the Nakamura Museum in Hakone, Hakone Check Point, Cruise on Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway, Hakone-en Aquarium, or the Hakone Shrine.
- We recommend bringing an overcoat or other warm clothing during autumn and winter.
- Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August and December. You will visit "Ryoanji Temple" instead.
- On days when the Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed and you will visit "Nishi Honganji" instead.
- Drop-off service can be provided only to/from hotels on the list of pick-up service.

- Cancellation more than 7 calendar days before the services begin : You will be charged a 5% cancellation fee.
