Lake Como gained its fame in the last century because of Alessandro Manzoni's novel “The Betrothed,” which was set on the Lecco branch of the lake. Visit this magnificent site and see the third largest lake in Italy and notice its peculiar shape that resembles a Y turned upside down. The lake has a surface of 146 square meters and reaches a depth of 410 meters. Admire the mountains that surround the lake, with Monte Legnone as the highest one. Along its shores, observe the exquisite villas and gardens with exotic and rare plants and flowers.
We will also visit the Como city center and the S. Abbondio Abbey, a beautiful Romanesque church with magnificent frescoes before going to Bellagio, famous for its setting at the intersection of the three branches of the Y-shape of Lake Como.
